St Gabriel Child Care Centres Whats Been Happening?! With the restructuring of the management, we welcome Claire Morgan to our team in January as Assistant Director. She brings with her, over 23 years in childcare and has worked in a variety of settings, profit, non-profit, as well as the education sector. Claire’s extensive experience managing multi-site programs is enhanced by her training in Early Childhood Education, Business Administration and Project Management. Her passion for creating quality programming that responds to the community and family’s needs while ensuring Ontario’s pedagogy is being delivered will be a great addition to our inspiring team.
On January 8th, another valuable member of our team retired. Mr. Albert Macieri, who is a sweet man that did so much for us over the many years as our custodian. He greeted us every morning, is loved by many and will be dearly missed. We expect visits from this hard worker who kept our home away from home clean and safe. His big shoes were filled by Fabio Matasso as he joined us on January 11, 2021.
As we embark on the new year, I am excited about what the Staff and Board of Directors will accomplish together as we champion the children and families we serve. Please join me in providing Claire with a warm welcome and supporting her in getting to know our community. Another milestone that we would like to acknowledge, is the 30th anniversary of Ms. Anne Talotta years of care and learning with St. Gabriel Child Care Centres. Over the last 30 years she has nurtured and inspired learning in children in our preschool room, our kindergarten room both at St. Gabriel site and at St. Gregory the Great location. She has mentored student teachers over the years and shared her heart with many many children over that time. Ms. Anne came to us as an Educational Assistant and later returned to school in the evenings to receive her RECE. Her teamwork, dedication and kindness has embraced our families, children, and our team. Thank you, Ms Anne, for all you have given of yourself over the last 30 years.
